What the Oklahoma process looks like

1.Establish the program

  • No state filing required

No notice of intent, registration, or approval is required. Withdraw the child from any current public school to avoid a truancy record.

2.During the year

  • Provide instruction (about 180 days)

Provide a good-faith equivalent education; the state constitution references a 180-day school year. Keeping your own records is recommended but nothing is submitted.
