New Jersey homeschool requirements
New Jersey requires no notice, testing, or registration; parents must provide an education academically equivalent to that in the public schools.

What the New Jersey process looks like
1.Establish the program
No state filing required
No notice of intent, registration, or approval is required. If withdrawing from a public school, a brief letter of withdrawal is advisable to avoid a truancy record.
2.During the year
Provide equivalent instruction
Provide instruction academically equivalent to that provided in the public schools. Keeping your own records (curriculum, work samples) is recommended in case equivalency is ever questioned.
