1.Establish the program
Notify the local superintendent
Send a letter of notification to the local school district superintendent within the first two weeks of the school year, listing the children's names, ages, and the school's address.
Withdraw from prior school (if applicable)
Withdraw the child from any current school.
2.During the year
Keep attendance and scholarship records
Maintain attendance records (a term of at least 170–185 instructional days) and scholarship records of the child's progress. Teach reading, writing, spelling, grammar, history, math, and civics.
3.End of year
Retain records for possible review
No state test is required. Retain attendance and scholarship records; the superintendent may request to review them.
