1.Establish the School
File the Notice of Intent
File a one-time Notice of Intent to operate a home school with the NC Division of Non-Public Education (DNPE).
Record instructor qualifications
Keep on file the high-school diploma (or equivalent) of the person providing instruction.
2.During the Year
Keep attendance + immunization records
Maintain attendance and immunization records available for inspection by DNPE.
3.End of Year
Administer the annual standardized test
Give a nationally standardized test each year and keep the results on file for at least one year.
