Cómo es el proceso en New Hampshire

1.Establish the program

  • Notify a participating agency

File a written notice of intent with a participating agency — the resident-district superintendent, a nonpublic school, or the Commissioner of Education — within a set time of starting. The notice is generally one-time.

  • Withdraw from prior school (if applicable)

Withdraw the child from any current school.

2.During the year

  • Teach required subjects

Provide instruction in science, math, language, government, history, health, reading, writing, spelling, US and NH constitutions, and art/music appreciation. Keep a portfolio of work.

3.End of year

  • Complete the annual evaluation

Each year complete one accepted evaluation — a nationally standardized test, a state test, a certified-teacher/portfolio evaluation, or another agreed measure. The parent keeps the result; it is not routinely submitted.
